The Wine Club. We love our wine. We love our man, Otto. He is us: passionate about wine, pragmatic about wine. We enjoy wine in so many ways and we know that you too, enjoy wine in more than a superficial way. To dig beneath the surface always yields more interesting results and is an apt metaphor for looking at wine because of the influence of the land in which the grapes are grown. Sure, drinking wine can be as simple as casually sipping with friends, but adding knowledge always intensifies any experience and in the process can add enjoyment. Even an average glass of wine can contain myriad flavors and aromas, all part of this wonderful puzzle for your senses to figure out. Otto's Constant Dream was carefully selected to be an accessible wine, crafted by a masterful wine maker, in the spirit of Otto's singe-minded phrenology. It's a wine that can be instantly enjoyed and stand up to scrutiny. Those who deny Otto's wonder are often snobbish fools with an alarming ease in displaying their ignorance. Without knowing anything about his journey from the sunny sea-sprayed river valleys of New Zealand (click on the photos link) under the caring and precise cultivation of Fiona Turner to a dinner table in Brooklyn New York, the insecure might debase a wine based solely on price point. Wow. Really - that shallow, still? We know you're not. We want to know more about you so that we can continue to make reasonably priced wines that deliver both simple and complex treats based on mood, food and company. We're certainly not saying that everyone is going to love all of our varietals - that would make us the fools - we just want people to be open minded, and take the appropriate time to let the wine open up and reveal some of it's secrets - you may be a surprised at what Otto shows you. Our vision at Communal Brands is to bring consistently great juice to the public in packaging that reflects our times. We are regular folks from Brooklyn who happen to like wine - it goes with so many of our other diversions: cooking, croquet, picnicing, outdoor movie nights - hell, socializing in general. We cherish our friends and the time we get to laugh and cut loose with them. OCD was conceived to become a constant companion in these endeavors. We hope he finds a place in your life as well.
